Harris' complex and highly refined works are evidence of particular social, cultural and artistic links. In drawings, sculpture, textiles and installations she traces these impressions and memories of place. Harris is interested in creating works that provoke questions by exploring elements within her work of both 2D and 3D, macro and micro, object and shadow. Some of her work can take years to complete and while not deliberate, could be seen as a reaction to the fast, easy-to-access digital age she is making it in.
